Original Recipe Serves 20

INGREDIENTS

20 Mission® 12" Stretched Style Flour Tortillas (10330)  
Picadillo  (see Related Recipe) 
2 large Eggs  

DIRECTIONS

1.) Preheat oven to 350º F.

2.) Heat tortillas on flat grill for 3 seconds per side. Place on work surface and fill center with 1/3 cup picadillo. Brush egg wash on the interior edge of tortilla. Fold tortilla over and seal by pressing the edges firmly with a fork. Brush exterior with egg wash.

3.) Bake in oven until golden, approximately 7-8 minutes. Serve.

4.) *Note: Empanadas may be fried in a deep fat fryer rather than baking. Empanadas may be held on a steam table.
